How the reading works
The deck holds all seventy-eight cards: the twenty-two majors and the four suits of fourteen. Before every deal the page shuffles them with a Fisher-Yates shuffle fed by crypto.getRandomValues, the same source your browser uses for keys and passwords, and deals from the top. With reversals on, each card lands upside down on a fair coin flip. The love meanings were written for this page, one upright and one reversed for every card.
The four spreads
The love spread lays five cards: you, them, the connection between you, what is in the way, and where it goes. Yes or no is one card; every card carries a lean, yes, no or maybe, and a line on why. Three cards are past, present and future. The daily love card is one card for today.
Why the daily card stays put
The daily card is not shuffled. It is picked from today's date and an anonymous id this browser makes up once and keeps for itself, so you get the same card until midnight however many times you deal, and a different one from everyone else's. Clear your browser data and you get a new id and a new card. That is the only thing about you this page keeps, and it never leaves.
Reversed cards
A reversed card is the same card with its energy blocked, delayed, turned inward or overdone; it is not simply the opposite of the upright meaning, and it is never a verdict. If you would rather read every card upright, turn reversals off before you deal. The yes or no lean does not change with the orientation; read the why and the reversed meaning together.

What stays here
Everything on this page is plain JavaScript in your browser. There is no server doing the shuffle, so there is no record of what you asked or what came up, anywhere but on this table. The only thing this page records is that a reading happened and which spread it was. A tarot card is a prompt for a conversation with yourself, and on a good day with someone else; it is not advice about anyone's health, money or safety, and it does not know what they are thinking. The plates are woodcut-style prints made for this deck.
